Will a fuzz box,overdrive,distortion and a wah pedal designed for a 6 string guitar work for bass?

all the pedals i find for 6 strings are like 30-60 but the ones i find that are the for bass guitars are over 100 dollars. will a 6 string effects box work for a bass?
