Asparagus, carrots, potatoes, and a crock pot. What do I do?

I just bought a crock pot and I want to learn a few simple recipes that are both tasty and inexpensive. I've tried a few websites and apps but everything I find is really high end ( i.e. Lobster dishes, sushi, tri tip ) and complicated to say the least so I would appreciate any soup or gumbo recipes or something like that. Thank you
