I own a 2003 GMC Sierra V6. I changed the oil on it last week. Now, the Check engine light keeps coming on.?

I also get a message, Change Engine oil. It feels sluggish and has hardly any power. It wants to turn off at Stops. Never happened before I took it in to get the oil change. What could the issue be?
