I had to tell this girls best friend, that her boyfriend will eventually hurt her..was this right?

Sierra (girls friend) never trusted her friends boyfriend, but I had to tell her that she might want to warn her friend before she gets hurt..and he was saying "I love you<3" to me while they were dating..hes cheated on me twice when i dated him..Sierra agrees with me..but I feel horrible..was it the right decision?
